Spiced Biscotti

• Ingredients
• 2 eggs
• vegetable oil
• flour
• sugar
• orange peel
• water
• baking powder
• cinnamon
• cloves
• almonds
• Recipe
• 2 eggs, beaten (reserve 1 tbsp. to brush over cookies)
• ¹/₃ cup vegetable oil (75g)
• 3 cups flour (384g)
• 2 cups sugar (420g)
• 1 tsp orange peel, grated
• ¹/₄ cup water (60g)
• 2 tsps baking powder (10g)
• 2 tsps cinnamon
• 1 tsp clove
• 2 cups almonds, sliced
• Combine eggs, oil, water, and sugar. Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel. Fold in almonds. Batter will be stiff. Divide and mold into 4 rolls. Shape each roll into a long cigar shape, about 12". Place 2 cigars on a greased cookie sheet, and brush with egg. Repeat with other two cigars. Bake for 22 minutes. Cool and slice diagonally.
