Snickerdoodle Cookies

• Ingredients
• shortening
• sugar
• 2 eggs
• flour
• cream of tartar
• baking soda
• salt
• sugar
• cinnamon
• Recipe
• Mix together:
• 1 cup shortening (192g)
• 1¹/₂ cups sugar (315g)
• 2 eggs
• Sift together and stir in:
• 2³/₄ cups flour (352g)
• 2 tsps cream of tartar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ¹/₂ tsp salt
• Chill dough. Roll into balls. Roll in mixture of:
• 2 tbsps sugar (26g)
• 2 tbsps cinnamon
• Place 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Yield: 5 dozen. Note: Aspen Hill Co-Op was Christine's pre-school.
