Chutes 'n Ladders

I just played a rousing game of Chutes & Ladders with my family and Miranda, who is visiting for the Memorial Day holiday. According to her, they call it Chutes & Snakes in Australia, but who slides down snakes in real life?
These little characters from the game pieces would make cool icons...
