A Milestone Birthday
December 6, 2007 @ 8:52 pm
I'm not so crazy about being 30 yet, but so far it's been pretty good to me. I celebrated my birthday with cupcakes from scratch and tiki mini-golf. Christine and I both got a hole in one and enjoyed the ridiculous decor.

Then, while we were up in Boston for Thanksgiving, we went by my old elementary school. It's still there, and looks just like I remember. Except that everything is about half as big as it used to be.

The icing on the cake was reaching my goal of getting back to my "college weight" in time for 30. It was only about 8 pounds, but a pound a year will add up if you don't push back. I partly credit my food blog for my improved eating habits, and Christine is a good influence too. And, I'm getting more regular exercise since they renovated the fitness room. I guess 30 isn't so bad.

It was gentlemanly and mature of you not to mention how you kicked my butt at tiki mini golf and got not one, but 3 holes in one. Happy birthday indeed!

I owe my success to your chanting "Get busy, it's your birthday" during every putt.
