Blow Up

I just saw Blow Up and it blew me away - what a great film! I finally know what Austin Powers was referencing with the fashion shoot at the beginning of both films. The London hipsters of 1966 that are featured seem oddly ur-emo, and the documentation of the photographic process was a wonder to behold.I was inspired to revisit a picture I took of a rest stop on the Massachusetts Turnpike and enlarge portions of it. Digital grain doesn't have quite the same pointillist feel as film, and it was much less work to do, but still fun.
Here's the original picture.
Enlarging the rest area portion.
Is that a gas station?

antonioni is fantastico. my favorite part is the dreamy camera movement when the dude follows the lady into the park. have you seen "the passenger"? that's one of my favs.
