I Want To Ride My Bicycle

July 29, 2004 @ 8:00 pm

I got a new bike over the weekend for cheap at Re-Use Ann Arbor. It was missing the chain and needed new pedals and a better seat, but otherwise was relatively sound. The tires were flat but held air. I spent several hours tuning it up, with Eliz's invaluable help. After she left I spent almost 30 minutes trying to get the left pedal off. It turns out the threads on the pedals go in opposite directions, as I learned when I went and bought new ones. Once I turned it the right way it came off with just a little hammering.

It started raining so I brought the bike inside to keep working. Fun!

Look at those new reflectors. No one will run me over now. Sweet.

I don't think it merits it's own domain yet. Give me a couple years with it and we'll see.
