Understanding Technology

MetropolisIf I ran the School of Information I'd add a course on the History and Philosophy of Technology. Who wouldn't want to watch Office Space for credit?

Note that I didn't put this idea into a mass e-mail. I may be opinionated, but I'm not usually a jerk about it.

The movie still at right is from Fritz Lang's 1926 masterpiece Metropolis. The colorized version from the 80s with a rock score (Pat Benetar, Adam Ant, and more!) also rocks.

you should get the one with the Jeff Mills soundtrack. he's a dj/techno music producer from detroit and his music fits the movie so much better than that benetar stuff. not that pat benetar is not totally awesome...just not exactly dark and industrial e
