Camera Remote

Check out the remote control I just got for my camera! Now that I've got this and a tripod, I can take long exposure low light shots without jiggling the camera.
My first photo came out pretty well:

Wait. You didn't say the type of camera you bought. I'm trying to decide. Which models/brands did you look at?

The remote was for my Nikon D70, but the camera I just got is a Canon PowerShot SD600 (Digital Elph). It was very well reviewed and works wonderfully. I especially am enjoying the video feature, although I won't be making any videos like the trainrider does!

I'm thinking about Canon and Panasonic brands, although I'm pretty sure I want image stabilization. Unfortunately, IS costs about $100 more!
