Patterns are back! Banana Republic has been sneaking into my brain and crossing wires, because suddenly I'm drawn to these ridiculous patterns in their spring catalog:



This ad from the February 14th & 21st, 2005 New Yorker was particularly amusing:



On top of that, I bought a pair of red paisley sleep pants at Meijer last month and they've quickly become my favorite lounge pants. For the first couple of days wearing them it would surprise me to see red paisley in my apartment, but now it seems completely normal. What's next, plaid?

I thought it was really strange that he had combined those, but then I realized it was really strange that he *had* a flowered shirt in the first place. Where do you even BUY men's shirts with flowers on them?

I'll fix the comments feature when we get back, I don't know why it's acting like that. I assumed the man in paisley was the brother Edward, so she's looking at her boyfriend out of the frame but secretly lusting for Paisley...
