Purple Pub Burns, Etc.

April 19, 2007 @ 12:32 pm

I was cleaning my phone out and found a bunch of random pics, such as...

The Purple Pub and Subway Burned
The burned out shell of the Purple Pub building. The fire started in the basement of the new coffee shop and the smoke took out the Subway and Pub as well. The owner plans to demolish and build a high rise. Well, 3 stories, but that's a lot for Williamstown.

Disembodied Legs
This is a picture I took of my legs on my way home from the Herring a week ago or so. I wore my boots because it was sleeting and I was tired of having wet feet.

New Jersey Turnpike T-Shirts
What trip through purgatory would be complete without a commemorative t-shirt? Fortunately, the New Jersey Turnpike has thought of everything.

Wait - the purple pub burned down? and it was caused by the new coffeeshop???? You know williamstown has a history of fires on that street....

Um, I just told you that it burned down. That was the sound of the ball not being dropped. It's a sad passing. Now where will I sit and watch the world cup match, and then keep drinking until I've spent more time at the Pub than at work?

Not the whole state (although that's debatable), just the Turnpike with it's Dante-esque rest stops.

The picture of your legs looks like your lower torso was cut off. Kind of strange.

You forgot about the part where they lose our tab and we pay 12 dollars for 12 rounds of drinks.

Double sweet. Unfortunately the whole pub crowd has moved in on the Herring. Good for business, bad for the scene.
