Hmm, looks like it's time to harvest my rhubarb.

In my childhood yard - something of a demonstation nursery catalogue created by the previous owner (housework-hating gardening-loving Annie Kershner) rhubarb thrived in a corner. Mom cooked it only once - stewed in sugar and not very tasty. But sister betty and I would break off the largest stalks at the roots and use them for umbrellas in our backyard fantasies. But then, Mom didn't make anything from the prodicts of the three grape arbors or the gooseberry or raspberry or currant bushes, either. We just randomly ate the fruit as we played.
