St. Patrick's Day Parade
March 20, 2006 @ 1:49 pm
I spent the last few days in NYC visiting friends and seeing the sites. Like the 150,000 marchers in the St. Patrick's Day Parade.

After a while all the bands start to look the same.
I had the satisfaction of a celebrity siting on my way to see Chicago. John O'Hurley (J. Peterman on Seinfeld) came out of the theater with a couple of models on his arm as I was buying my tickets. He was gracious enough to pose with these tourists for a few moments. Not like John Lithgow, who ran away when he was spotted by my friends on spring break last year.
I can't walk through Grand Central without admiring the clock.
I took the Metro North line in from Wassaic, which is the end of the line. It was a little weird to come home, riding to the end of the line and then driving two hours further. After a few days in the city it seems like the Berkshires is further away than ever, but at least I'm feeling recharged.

Ooh, nice medley. New York does seem to make everywhere else seem smaller, yet New York itself seems smaller each time I visit. I guess I'm getting used to all them tall buildin's.
