The Grey Album

February 28, 2004 @ 5:32 pm

The Grey AlbumI participated in the online protest Grey Tuesday by downloading the Grey Album through Morpheus. This thing is amazing! DJ Danger Mouse took the Black Album by Jay Z (which is a capella) and sampled the White Album to create music and beats. The result is truly astonishing, and it's sad that current copyright law makes this album totally illegal to profit from since the samples were unlicensed. DJ Danger Mouse provided all the creativity, time and effort to make two old works into a valuable new piece of art, but the so-called "music" industry is more worried about making money than music. When will they get with it? The genie is out of the bottle, people. If anyone wants a free copy of this thing, let me know.

if yer burnin', it'll save me the time (this might be an example of "tuning my cost strategy" or other such b.s.) in other words, i'd love a copy.
