The Igloo Ran Away

It learned the trick from the snowmen. It ran across the lawn, into the street, and down the storm drain. Here you can see the progression over the past five days.The warming spell coincided exactly with my illness. You can imagine my surprise when I emerged from my apartment on Wednesday and it was in the 70s outside. All better, just in time to take off for merry old England.
The coating of new snow melts off, revealing blocks below.
The first cracks appear.
The sunny side has fallen in.
All gone until next year...
