Iconic Igloo

On Friday we had icy pellets falling and it was above freezing out. As I was shoveling the walk, I realized it was the perfect snow for a final addition to my igloo - the arched door tunnel.

Iconic Igloo

Finally, a truly iconic igloo!

Iconic Igloo

It was weird to be working on it while listening to the sounds of running water and birds singing. I guess spring is on the way, but not quite yet. We're supposed to be in the teens tonight which should help it stick around for a few more weeks at least.

Here it is with a fresh coat of snow on Saturday night.

Having been inside this masterpiece, I can say with confidence, "Sweet igloo!".

That is really great. Have you spent the night in it yet?

I visited the igloo on Saturday. My family of 4 found it quite comfortable. I'm impressed that we could all fit in there. Well done. How is it holding up with this warm weather?

Melted now. Your children must be pretty small to all fit, but it did have impressive capacity. Laurel and Mark and I all fit in, although claustrophobia did begin to weigh on us.
