White Crayon

I saw this white crayon in a crack between the sidewalk and the handicap access ramp to Ephporium and was compelled to photograph it. I remember as a child, the white crayon seemed paradoxical. How could you have a crayon that colored an un-color?

As I remember, it wasn't even very effective. Like white crayon on black paper didn't have much of a contrast - it just sort of made things grey.

Yeah, it never lived up to the hype. Seeing it randomly was like seeing the ghost of crayons past.
