Finished Furnishing!

I finally finished furnishing my apartment with the completion of the headboard for my bed this afternoon. Here are some shots:
Yes, my living room is round. If you look closely you might notice the one box I still haven't unpacked.
To complement the living room, the dining room is at a 45 degree angle. Note the absence of slimy birch logs.
A dresser in the kitchen? Crazy man, crazy.
Here is the long anticipated head board. I got a great deal on the blonde velvet at the Waverly fabric outlet, seven bucks for the whole piece!
No pictures of the study yet, maybe someday it will be clean enough to shoot.

A headboard! That's the mark of true adulthood. Congrats.

Thanks! I dusted off my geometry skills to create the curve for the top - it's an elipse! I used two screws as the foci and ran a string between them, then used it to trace out the curve. Oooh, bedtime will be exciting tonight!

Yeah, it's a little weird to be so grown up. But after living in a studio with half a closet for two years it is much appreciated!

A red accent wall in the circular part of your living room or in your kitchen would help your apartment look cooler than it does now.
