Groovy Glasses

I saw the movie Down With Love last week and I've taken a fancy to the very retro glasses worn by Ewan McGregor.
Esquivel was sporting some serious specs back in the day too, but his are a bit pointy for my taste. I've always thought they were just a hampster fashion accessory, but they're growing on me. What do you think that means?
Of course, the real trick is to come out looking like Ewan McGregor and not like Drew Carey.
