Star Wars Episodes VII & VIII

For years I thought I had imagined this movie, in which a little girl is stuck on Endor. She hangs out with Ewoks, and has the power cell that an old man needs to make his ship fly and save the day, and there was a witch or someting involved too. I even remember staying up all night at Offer Egozy's house to watch it when everyone else at his birthday sleepover party had passed out. Well, it turns out I wasn't imagining it. I was talking with Jennii and Laura at lunch at Amer's the other day and somehow it came up in conversation, and they remembered these movies too. So I did a little research. It turns out that The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor were written by George Lucas and released in 1984 and 1985. Check out the trailers on IMDB, they're hilarious. And the best part is that they're available on DVD, so I just added them to my Netflix queue.
When is George Lucas going to digitally remaster these two films and screw them up like he did for the rest of the Star Wars movies?

I feel like I remember seeing them too, but maybe it was on TV. I can't imagine I'd remember a movie I saw when I was 4. Let me know when they come! I want to see them!

Ewoks are pretty stupid. The story I've heard is that Lucas had wookies in the original script, but was afraid he'd never get to make three movies, so he put a wookie into his first movie instead. It would have been a lot more believable to have wookies fighting storm troopers and ripping their arms off and such. But the Ewoks were such a marketing bonanza (as evidenced by these movies) that there's no way he would correct that in the re-release.
