Igloo Update
March 1, 2007 @ 3:55 pm
They are predicting freezing rain for tonight so I reinforced the igloo with a veneer of new snow. Unfortunately I didn't have time to add a more iconic entryway, but the chinks are properly filled now. Hopefully this will help it resist the weather.
From the inside you can still see some light.
It seems smaller than I remember, and there is evidence that some blocks have shifted. A little icicle is not plumb, which is a dead giveaway of settling. Hopefully it won't fall down too soon. If it survives the sleet it should be all the stronger, as we have a week of freezing weather on the way.

Nice pictures and nice work! I have fond memories of making igloos. I haven't done it in way too long.

very nice :) oh, btw the editors of the ALA e-newsletter loooove you so much! Every week it seems, there's nnnick and a new, cleverer YouTube movie about the library world and I get to tell all my friends about my nerd-alicious friend from grad school! Cheers!

The first picture looks sort of vaguely like Pikachu.

ALA loves me, they really love me! Jodi "PA" Psoter now owes me a beer for getting her picture in the newsletter! Just wait, I haven't even released Short Pencil Saga or Dastardly Doodlebug yet. Sorry Srah, I'm not seeing the Pikachu.

Maybe it's not Pikachu. Some kind of round cartoon character with little useless wings.

Now I see it. Maybe I should give it a face...
