More Groundhogs
June 16, 2004 @ 11:18 pm
I was on my porch reading The Tao of Pooh when a groundhog showed up in my yard and started eating the weeds. Then a bus went by and he got scared by the noise and ran away. Then my neighbors were playing basketball and the ball came in my backyard. I thought about saying "Now it's mine!" but when they came to get it I didn't say anything. A little while later I sneezed really loudly and one of them said "Bless you" and I said "Thanks." It was a pretty good afternoon.I'm off to Carleton tomorrow morning to see all of my old friends. Right now I'm filling up my iPod with good music for the trip, including some Brenda Weiler that I hadn't listened to in years. I used to have a big crush on her, and I still do, but the crush is on her 1999 self, if that makes sense.

I like that other people sometimes desire to be mean but hold it back and then the people to which they desire to be mean are nice to them in the future. All in all, I enjoyed this post
